FAQ: How to Back Up and Restore the AML Wallet
« on: April 02, 2018, 03:05:10 pm »
How do I back up my AML Wallet?

It is the responsibility of Token Holders to back up their wallets. Please back up your wallet to safeguard it in case anything happens to your machine. Once you back up your wallet, you can restore it onto a different machine.

Here are instructions to do this: https://amltoken.com/backup-restore-wallet

Hi Tokenboss,

In order to unhide the folders you will have to follow a set of instructions.
I have attached Windows step guide for you to follow.

1. First we need to unhide the folders to search the amltoken
2. Go to Control Panel, and search for Appearance and Personalization
3. Scroll down and find File Explorer options, click on the option “Show hidden files and folders”
4. Scroll down to the option “Show hidden files, folders and drives” press apply and Ok

This way you will be able to unhide the folders in your Windows PC.

After you unhide the folder you can follow the steps to restore your wallet properly:

1. Go to My Computer, click on Local Disk (C:),
2. Scroll down and Click to the Users Folder, than click on Your login name
3. Search and click the AppData folder, click on Roaming folder
4. Go to the amltoken folder and you will see the “wallet.dat” file
5. Now you can replace it with the new wallet.dat for the new file

Thank you!
