FAQ: Restoring the wallet.dat file

How do I restore Wallet.dat for MAC?

1. Go to Finder, click on the Tab “GO”

2. Scroll down and click on the “Go to Folder” or Press and Hold CMD + Shift + G

3. A pop up window will appear to add the path of the folder

4. Use “/Users/YOURLOGIN/Library/ApplicationSupport/amltoken”

5. Change YOURLOGIN with Mac login, and hit enter

6. Once the folder is located, replace it with the new wallet.dat of the backup.

7. Remember to change the new file name to “wallet.dat”



OR



1. Quit the AML Token Wallet application if it is running.

2. Locate the Data Folder on MAC.
3. Go to Finder, go to devices and click on the MAC HD or Macintosh HD (Hard Drive)

4. Locate the Users folder, and click on YOUR login name.
5. Press and Hold CMD + Shift + . (Dot) Key, so the Hidden folder may appear
.
6. The Library folder will appear, go to the Application Support
.
7. Go to the amltoken folder and you will see the “wallet.dat” file
.
8. Now you can replace it with the new wallet.dat for the new file backup.

9. Remember to change the new file name to “wallet.dat”

How to restore the wallet.dat for Windows?

1. Go to File Folder on the Taskbar

2. On the address bar, use C:\Users\Cjimenez\AppData\Roaming\amltoken

3. Change YOURLOGIN with windows login, and hit enter

4. Once the folder is located, replace it with the new wallet.dat of the backup

5. Remember to change the new file name to “wallet.dat”.



OR



1. First we need to unhide the folders to search the amltoken

2. Go to Control Panel, and search for Appearance and Personalization

3. Scroll down and find File Explorer options, click on the option “Show hidden files and folders”

4. Scroll down to the option “Show hidden files, folders and drives” press apply and Ok

5. Go to My Computer, click on Local Disk (C:),

6. Scroll down and Click to the Users Folder, than click on Your login name

7. Search and click the AppData folder, click on Roaming folder

8. Go to the amltoken folder and you will see the “wallet.dat” file

9. Now you can replace it with the new wallet.dat for the new file backup.

10. Remember to change the new file name to “wallet.dat”
