Title: FAQ: AML Wallet: General Questions
Post by: AML Support on April 02, 2018, 03:10:24 pm
Do I need to change my receiving wallet address for future transactions?

We recommend that you generate a new wallet address for each transaction.

In order to do this, simpy go to 'File', click on 'Receving Address' and Generate a new Wallet Address. Please remember that the 'Label' field can be anything that you would like.

What do I do if my wallet closed unexpectedly?

Here are some ways you can figure out what happened:

1. Whenever a program quits unexpectedly, document the application involved, the other things you had on at the same time, and the time. With this basic info, you'll have the basic data to begin investigating.

2. Get RAM. If you have 2gb RAM, that's the problem. Upgrade to 12 RAM minimum, and more if you feel you require it.

3. Update. Make sure your MBP has all the latest updates, even for third-party applications. Developers write applications to avoid errors like you're encountering.

4. Diagnostics. Go to Disk Utility, and perform a preferences repair. Reboot.

Another thing you can try is Boot in SAFE MODE, then reboot again.  This clears out a few caches among other things.

Safe mode (sometimes called safe boot) is a way to start up your Mac so that it performs certain checks and prevents some software from automatically loading or opening.                                                                                       Starting your Mac in safe mode does the following:

Verifies your startup disk and attempts to repair directory issues, if needed

Loads only required kernel extensions

Prevents startup items and login items from opening automatically

Disables user-installed fonts

Deletes font caches, kernel cache, and other system cache files

If your Mac has an issue that goes away when you start up in safe mode, you might be able to isolate the cause.

To start up in safe mode:

Start or restart your Mac, then immediately press and hold the Shift key. The Apple logo appears on your display.

Release the Shift key when you see the login window. If your startup disk is encrypted with Firevault, you might be asked to log in twice: once to unlock the startup disk, and again to log in to the Finder.

To leave safe mode, restart your Mac without pressing any keys during startup.

How do I know which wallet version I have?

To know which wallet version you have, go to your wallet and click on "help", and then click on "About AMLToken". Then you will get a window which will let you know the wallet version on the first line.

Hi team,

It would be helpful if the wallet had options to give you a total balance in Fiat $$..

Then the user could select USD, AUD, EUR etc etc..

Just saves doing the maths!

Could this be added to future wallet versions?

Goodday,
I hope someone can help me with my confusion, because I am not totally clear on what symbol or coin the AMLToken, AML Bitcoin, AMLT, ABTC this token / coin now really is (so which I have bought on the ICO and in my wallet)...
Maybe just naieve and foolish, but can someone explain please:
- is this a token or a coin?
- what symbol is used?
I see ABTC in my wallet, but can't find ABTC at CoinMarketCap.com, it is called AMLT (for token, but AMLT looks like a different Token with a different CEO) or AMLB (for bitcoin, like on this forum)
- what site can I find actual updated info (not closed ico fases etc)?
- is there an exchange where the value (in BTC, EUR or USD) can be checked?
I hope anyone can enlighten me on this.
Thanks & kind regards,
Pascal

Hi Techbot,

Please note that the minimum requirements for the wallet to execute properly is Windows 8 64-bits 8GB ram minimum. For MAC, the AML Wallet is only compatible with 10.12 macOS Sierra to 10.13 macOS High Sierra 8 GB RAM. 6GB could work but it depends on what else is running on your computer.. if you have a lot of apps running the wallet may crash or give you errors.

Hi,

You will need to transfer then tokes you bought to the AML Wallet, or you can leave it there.
Make sure you generate a backup once you send the tokens back to your wallet. Please note IDAX is currently not allowing ABTC withdrawals; the expected time for withdrawals is within 1-2 weeks. Those in the US and Canada are advised to wait to start trading until the withdrawal option is available.

Thank you!

Hi, how can I find out the password to unlock the wallet?

Hi,

Thank you for your inquiry. Unfortunately we do not know a way to retrieve or recover a forgotten password yet.
Our team will provide more information about this at a later stage.

We recommend that you write down your password in a piece of paper and keep it in a safe place.

Hi, but I never had this password. I only have the password to enter the ICO Cabinet.

I never encrypted my wallet or set a password. When I installed the wallet on my computer, it was already encrypted. So I don't have this password. How do I decrypt my wallet now?

And I have in my wallet indicated that it is encrypted and is currently locked. What's the meaning of that?
And when I try to send my ABTC to another address, my wallet prompts me to enter the password.

If u have not setup a wallet password you will not be asked for a password when sending ABTC from your wallet. It is a good idea to set a wallet password as this encrypts your wallet.data file adding extra security.

I do not have a password on my wallet, but when I send ABTC it is requested.
